Fidan Ekiz and Wierd Duk have ended their love affair for the second time. The presenter is currently single, she writes in her Woman column. “I am in an existential crisis.”
It just doesn’t work out between Fidan Ekiz and Wierd Duk. The two media personalities got back together at the beginning of last year, four and a half years after their divorce, but now they have seen their relationship fail again. The Op1 presenter is currently single, she says in her column for Woman.
Fidan relationshipless
Fidan is at a loss. “Where am I now? In the middle of an existential crisis. No relationship, no idea what I want to do in my career and an insatiable hunger to travel the world. With child,” she writes.
And without Wierd. It’s not a big surprise. Since their love reunion at the beginning of last year, they appeared at the talk show table of HLF8 no less than twice and in both cases they were bickering with each other, almost embarrassing. Both times it came from Fidan, who was very much looking for a confrontation with Wierd.
Firmness
That bickering now seems to have led to a breakup between Fidan and Wierd for the second time. And she talks about that. “I expected to have the most important things in order at this stage of life and to have a boring but clear daily routine. House, tree, animal.”
Fidan is back to square one. And also in terms of work, she has not really lived up to the high expectations. As a presenter of Op1, she is quite interchangeable and makes little impression on the viewer.
Lots of money
Did Fidan make the right choice? “After my divorce I was approached for major current affairs programs, but despite the security it offered, I declined. Not so long ago I got another offer. Lots of money. Not done.”
She concludes: “But it’s okay. This crisis is the best thing that happened to me. Maybe I’m weird, I missed that train. (…) But I do feel completely free. Point!”
