Fidan Ekiz sat at the talk show table of HLF8 last night with her sweetheart Wierd Duk. She reacted cynically when he patted himself on the back about his Kremlin expertise.
The love life of Fidan Ekiz and Wierd Duk is quite turbulent. They announced in October 2017 that they were divorced, after which they briefly started to cat each other in the media. He shouted that their love had died down because those around him thought he was a right-wing bastard, but she said he was just too busy tweeting.
Wierd about Putin
Now Fidan and Wierd have found each other again: it’s on again. Yesterday they even sat side by side in the talk show HLF8, where Fidan is back as a sidekick now that Johnny de Mol has left the field. After the leaked report against him, she stopped in the program as a sidekick.
Wierd sat at the table to talk about the long awaited speech of Russian President Putin on Victory Day. “Actually, that speech was completely predictable in the sense that he didn’t say anything other than what he’s been saying for twenty years, which is: the West must steer clear of meddling in those former Soviet republics,” he said.
Fidan contradicts
Fidan then contradicted him. “I could be wrong, but just this time the speech was not so predictable at all, because it was said that he would indeed come back with the mobilization on Victory Day, it was said that he would officially declare war on Ukraine and he would claim victory. None of that happened.”
Wierd then told his love partner: “That was said by Western … That was said from Ukraine and Ukraine has an interest of course.”
“I’m not saying that!”
Fidan: “It was also said by Kremlin experts.”
Wierd: “By Kremlin experts in the West. But I expected this to be honest.”
Wierd’s know-it-all comment was cynically answered by Fidan: “You were right…”
Wierd laughs uncomfortably: “No, I’m not saying that.”
