A serious accident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on the Ritterfelddamm in Kladow early on Saturday morning.
The 21-year-old driver of a Fiat 500 lost control of his car, went off the road to the right and crashed into a lamppost and several garden fences. He was injured and taken to a hospital.
The fire brigade secured the Fiat and the engine block that was thrown from the car off the property and tied up leaking fuel.
The driver left behind a field of debris, there was high property damage, and the Fiat was also a total loss. It is now being determined whether the driver involved in the accident was under the influence of intoxicating substances.
According to local residents, this is not the first accident at the site, last year an accident ended fatally there. Local police officers are investigating the crash.
