FFO: Star for François Beukelaers

With a repertoire to say the least, François Beukelaers could not be missed on the Walk of Fame. He played in various films and series from ‘Wittekerke’ and ‘Katarakt’ to ‘Windkracht 10’ (1997). But he is perhaps best known for his role in ‘Brussels by Night‘ by director Marc Didden from 1983.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This morning Beukelaers also received one Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional career. It was presented in De Grote Post.

Artistic Director of FFO Peter Craeymeersch: “The career of François Beukelaers is nothing short of impressive. He could be seen in ‘The man who had his hair cut short’, ‘Brussels by Night’ and he even had a role in ‘Zillion’ Teacher at the studio Herman Teirlinck, from serving supporting role to leading leading role, he can do it all.”

Beukealers, who will turn 85 on February 2, was honoured: “I am glad that I can take that statue with me, put it on my mantelpiece and then I can say that I received it from you. Thanks, thanks, thanks!”
