The semi-final between Feyenoord and Ajax in the KNVB cup tournament has been set for Wednesday, April 5. It was previously announced that no supporters of Ajax may be present at this Classic in De Kuip.
For safety reasons, there have been no fans of the visiting club in both Amsterdam and Rotterdam for years.
Feyenoord and Ajax also met in De Kuip on January 22, then in a competition context. The team from Rotterdam had hung high nets between the stands and the field. This was done to prevent supporters from throwing objects towards the field, in particular towards Steven Berghuis, who had switched from Feyenoord to Ajax. Feyenoord is still looking at which extra security measures need to be taken this time.

The other semi-final between Spakenburg and PSV is scheduled for April 4. The winner of the semi-final between Feyenoord and Ajax will be the home team in the final on Sunday 30 April.
