Feyenoord plays without slightly injured Nelson and Trauner

Reiss Nelson did not start the home match of Feyenoord against FC Twente. The wing attacker has suffered from a hamstring during the warm-up. Trainer Arne Slot does not want to take any risks with the Englishman, with a view to the final of the Conference League against AS Roma on May 25. He will be replaced by Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

Defender Gernot Trauner is also missing, due to minor hamstring complaints. “If this had been a final, I think they would both have played,” Slot said shortly before kick-off at ESPN. “They have minor complaints.”

Tyrell Malacia suffered a hamstring injury against PSV last week. Slot said on Friday that he is hopeful that his left back has recovered in time for the final against AS Roma in Tirana.
