Fewer trains from Schiphol Airport due to construction work

From Monday, October 2 at 4:00 AM to Saturday, October 7 at 3:00 AM, fewer trains will run from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam-Zuid, Hilversum, Lelystad Central and Amersfoort Central, among others. This is due to maintenance of the tunnels under Schiphol. The additional travel time can be up to 30 minutes.

Work is underway on the tunnel tubes at Schiphol Airport Station, says an NS spokesperson. The tunnels are undergoing major maintenance. In addition, there will be more ways to get from the platforms to Schiphol Plaza. There will also be a connection to the bus station.

Fewer tunnel tubes

Due to maintenance, fewer tunnel tubes are available. This means that fewer trains can depart from Schiphol Airport. The trains that do run will be busier and the extra travel time can be up to 30 minutes. The NS recommends checking the journey planner shortly before departure.

Planned work

Work is also planned from Friday, October 7, 3 a.m. to Monday, October 9, 2 a.m. Fewer trains will run between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam South.
