Fewer geese startled by fireworks

The radar image of the weather tower in Jabbeke shows a lot of activity between the cloud fields between eleven o’clock in the evening and two o’clock in the morning. But less than usual.

The lesser pink-footed goose is already on its way back north, due to the warm temperatures. And white-fronted geese are already moving towards Spitsbergen.

“Better organize fireworks”

The Uitkerkse Polder is the largest nature reserve in West Flanders. The curator advocates better organization of the fireworks.
