C‘is a moment in every person’s life in which everything or a lot changes, in which perhaps the purpose of one’s existence appears clear. And it is on that moment of enlightenment that the Awareness Festival focuses, this year in its second edition, on 23 and 24 September, at the Teatro Verdi in Paduaafter the experimental inauguration last year with over 700 people and onlookers per evening.
Designed by Andrea Salvetti (producer of spiritual documentaries and known for the Festivalbar), Miride Bollesan (creator of TV programs) and the director Christian Gandini, the event – with the main sponsor the Italian Buddhist Union – presents itself as a meeting between heart and mind, but first of all as an opportunity for cultural and spiritual comparison.
The theme of the 2023 edition is “connections”.
We talk about Connections at the Awareness Festival
It is, perhaps, more than others, the word of our time, the term with which perhaps one day our era will be remembered, but it is also a concept that we have always sought to give meaning to existence.
The formula includes twelve in-depth meetings and workshops in the reduced space in the afternoon and thereafter more informative evening talks, as well as a space, Consapevolandia, for children aged 3 to 10.
To open the Festival of Awareness there will be an unprecedented collective meditation of awareness inside the Palazzo della Ragione, the ancient city court, now a UNESCO heritage site. It will be held on Friday 22 September at 7.30pm and will be free.
The practice, supported by the municipality of Padua, will be led by spiritual researcher Bernard Rouch and the musician and composer Luca Donini.
The program of the Awareness Festival
The program of the Awareness Festival includes the presence of on Saturday evening Franco Mussida, PFM guitarist and today animator of the CO2 project which brings music to Italian prisons; Silvia Latham, anthropologist, Earth Charter educator and transformation coach and Pierluigi Lattuada, founder of Biotransenergetics.

The poet Lorenzo Marangoni, poetry slam world champion, will act as a link between the talks. The two afternoons will be moderated by the journalist from I Woman, Michaela K. Bellisario, and they will see, among others, Noemi Serracini, voice of La Sveglia di Radio2 on Rai Radio2 with a talk on rock and spirituality.
