The Belgian band K’s Choice and Willem de Bruin (known from hip-hop group The Opposites) will be performing at the 31st edition of Cultura Nova in Heerlen.
The festival announced the first seven acts on Wednesday.
Furry company
Canadian circus company Machine de Cirque, Australian company Gravity & other Myths, the Spanish dancers from Aracaladanza, Yoann Bourgeois from France and concerts by Die Krupps and Front Line Assembly complete the list of first names.
Theater
Willem de Bruin is known from the Dutch hip-hop duo The Opposites and will perform his theater performance in the Aambos Spit of God step up. In the performance he goes in search of who he is. With a father born on Curaçao and a mother from Amsterdam, he never felt completely Dutch and never completely Antillean.
Circus
Machine de Cirque is a circus troupe with music and comic stunts, while Yoann Bourgeois’ French group uses a huge swing to perform breakneck feats. Aracaladanza mainly focuses on dance and during Cultura Nova the family performance goes LOOP premiere.
Music
The Belgian pop group K’s Choice is making a new start with live performances. The performance during Cultura Nova is currently the only one in the Netherlands. The Nieuwe Nor also hosts performances by Die Krupps and Front Line Assembly, two groups that combine metal with electronic music.
The presale of the first seven performances starts Friday morning at 11:00. The 31st edition of Cultura Nova is from Friday 26 August to Sunday 4 September.
