Euroferry Olympia

In the Ionian Sea, a fire broke out on the passenger ferry Euroferry Olympia with 237 passengers and 51 crew members on board. It is reported by the Greek edition Skai.gr.
The fire started when the ship was in the area of the Greek island of Erikus. It sailed under the Italian flag on the route Igoumenitsa (Greece) – Brindisi (Italy).
According to the Coast Guard, the fire is believed to have originated on the deck of the third floor. The captain requested the evacuation of the ship

No casualties have been reported, but all are doing well, officials said. Three boats with rescuers, tugboats and boats went to the scene. Passengers are scheduled to be evacuated to Corfu.
