Ferraz stirs up the territories by correcting the lists of Puig, Lambán and Tudanca

A few hours before the meeting of the federal committee that must ratify the lists for Congress and the Senate for the 23J general elections is held this Saturday, the PSOE leadership has put the party on edge by unilaterally changing the candidacies for Congress and to the Senate in Zaragoza, Ávila, Valladolid, Valencia, Alicante and Castellón and try to also modify the order of the list for Toledo.

Initially it was only planned that there would be more adjustments in the Aragonese capital. Although Javier Lambán resisted the fact that the PSOE spokesperson and Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría, was the headliner, he finally relented. Even so, the socialist leadership intended to make further changes to the rest of the candidacy. But it is that, contrary to expectations, variations have been introduced in more provinces.

In Ávila Manuel Arribas has prevailed as number one, despite the fact that the Castilla y León proposal was Yolanda Vázquez. With little prestige in this district, the inclusion of Arribas has caused the resignation of the entire list, which exponentially increases the arson. Javier Izquierdo, secretary of Electoral Action of the Pedro Sánchez executive, has also been placed to head the list for the Senate for Valladolid, instead of Sara Galván. In Zaragoza, Susana Sumelzo has been ranked number two.

And in the Valencian Community the names of the three constituencies of the Senate have been touched. Valencia to be Juan Antonio Sagredo, mayor of Paterna, trusted by the provincial secretary, Carlos Bielsa, instead of the regional secretary in the Presidency, Alfred Boix, someone from the hard core of Ximo Puig. The same thing has happened in Alicante, the leader of the province, Alejandro Soler, has been given priority over the regional leadership. Ana Martínez Zaragoza will go on the salmon ballot for the Lower House and not Antonia Moreno, Council delegate. In Castellón, the same, the mayoress, Amparo Marco, has been appointed, who is no longer in office to the detriment of Eva Redondo, also delegate of the regional Executive.

In Toledo, they tried to change the head of the Congress poster, Sergio Gutiérrez, the right hand of Emiliano García-Page in the party, for the outgoing mayoress, Milagros Tolón, very close to the president of the Government. And put him in second place and not first. In the end he has backed down.

The touch-ups have been raised without a prior agreement, which has upset the affected territories. There may still be more changes in other provinces. Manchego PSOE sources emphasize that “The lists were unanimously approved by the provincial committee with more than 300 attendees from the province of Toledo, representing 90% of the local groups.”

Although in this constituency they had two deputies four years ago and the intention is to repeat this result, the forms have caused “much discomfort.” A feeling that extends to other autonomies. “Ferraz is changing the candidacies through impositions, and for what many of us interpret, as personal whims,” they say in the party. Tomorrow’s committee, they warn, “It’s not going to be as peaceful as it should be.” Although Castilla-La Mancha has finally achieved respect for the fact that Gutiérrez heads the Toledo list.
