Formula 1 vice world champion and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc is raising money for the victims of the storm in Italy with a special auction.
As the Ferrari star announced, he will auction off his racing clothes from his home race in Monaco last Sunday and donate the money to the needy population in Emilia-Romagna.
“I hope we can raise as much money as possible to help people in need,” Monegasque, 25, said in a video posted to social media.

A total of four items are up for auction from Friday to Tuesday. On the one hand his racing helmet, the racing suit including fireproof underwear, the shoes and the gloves. All items can be bid individually.
“It was special because it was raining and everything is still a bit dirty,” said Leclerc, who was not wearing the usual red suit of the Italian racing team. Exceptionally, the clothing was mostly white with only red accents. Leclerc was sixth.
The World Championship race in Imola, originally planned for May 21, had to be canceled due to the consequences of heavy rainfall and flooding in the Emilia-Romagna region. The area had been hit by severe storms and caused enormous damage.
