Ferrari released its new F1 car

Ferrari has become famous for the fact that its F1 car names don’t follow any logic. The 2022 model is called the F1-75 and will continue on the path indicated by the SF21, SF1000 and SF90.

Kimi Raikkonen took the last GP win of his career in Austin in the fall of 2018, when he drove the SF71H. It was, after all, directly related to the previous year’s SF70H, but no longer to the 2016 SF 16-H.

Traditionally, the new F1-75 is by far the fastest and most beautiful Ferrari ever – at least if you believe the drivers ’speeches.

– It looks aggressive, radical and beautiful, Carlos Sainz began.

– I love the car. It shows how much work has been done in front of it. The car feels really big, Charles Leclerc snapped.

The most significant external change at Ferrari is the absence of longtime sponsor Philip Morris (and its Mission Winnow brand). The color of the car is clearly darker red than it was last year, and it is only accentuated by the all-black front and rear wings.

Those responsible for the design David Sánchez and Enrico Cardile have traveled much the same path as the creators of the previously introduced Aston Martin AMR22.

However, the biggest factors affecting performance are still hidden. According to rumors leaked to Ferrari’s press, the new engine should be about 35 horsepower more powerful than Mercedes.

The story continues after the tweet.

The impact of the ground effect produced by the car’s base plate will only be seen when the race season actually starts in Bahrain on March 20th.

“The only question mark is visibility, because these tires can cover it,” Sainz said.

The Madrid driver also knew why this year’s car was named F1-75. It celebrates Ferrari’s 75th anniversary on the side of civilian cars.

The transformation from a racetrack to a luxury brand that built street cars was a big disappointment to the owner Enzo Ferrarille. He eventually agreed to it because he realized it would help on the track as well.

– The car also has a 75th anniversary logo that is well suited to the color world. We also want to respect a little bit of Ferrari’s history, Sainz wise.
