A flash decision was made for Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who blocked his opponent in the qualifying laps of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix today.
In the statement made by Formula 1, it was recorded that McLaren will start the race from the 6th place after Leclerc’s penalty, which was found to be hindering Great British driver Lando Norris during a fast lap.
After this penalty, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon 3, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz 4 and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton placed 5th.
In qualifying, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took the pole position, while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was the second fastest lap and Charles Leclerc was the third fastest lap.
The 78-lap race will start at 16:00 CEST tomorrow.
