An edition that sees the entrance next to the Founder and artistic director Maximilian Law of a New artistic co-director, the journalist and writer Claudia Conte. Her experience as a social and cultural entrepreneur enrichs the festival with a fresh and inclusive perspective, strengthening its commitment to the promotion of cinematographic works that combine art, culture and social impact.
In this regard, Claudia Conte commented her debut as an artistic director, underlining the precious union between the city of Ferrara (UNESCO World Heritage) and the Festival mission: «My commitment is that of a festival that combines beauty, passion and culture. And also the social, for example with the entry between the players of the Rava Foundation. A festival that is international but that offers many opportunities to young independent filmmakers who perhaps have not had the deserved visibility. In the name of an inclusion that means precisely this: not only authors who are part of a certain circuit ».

The 2025 program of the Festival is the largest and most international in the history of the event. With about 60 films in official selection and 30 works in collateral events (from over 25 nations around the world).
