Fernando Burlando candidate: “Buenos Aires has all the problems”

Lawyer Fernando Burlandoa media figure and often disruptive, has just announced that he will be a candidate for governor of the Buenos Aires province. Facing the 2023 elections, Burlando will present himself with the MIF (Federal Integration Movement) a new political force that, although until now it only has the lawyer as a familiar face, he himself anticipates that he is summoning other prominent personalities who have never been in politics to be part of the project. “All the figures that I summoned joined the idea of doing politics. All first-timers ”, slides Burlando, in conversation with NEWS.

Being an outsider of traditional politics, Burlando affirms that he is tired of it being “a vicious circle that gives me the feeling that they are always the same.” “Politics has to be a class open to the people, and it seems that in 40 years they are always the same protagonists. And I got to a point where I say, ‘If I complain, and do nothing, I am an accomplice’. We all have to participate”, says Burlando. “I’m going to start speaking only in February-March,” says the media.

Regarding the alliances to be drawn up, Burlando still does not give details and continues to add mystery. “I’m not talking about allies for now,” he says, although he anticipates that the thread is open to “all those who master the possibility of using common sense, which is something that has not been used much in politics to date” . For the lawyer, the concepts of “left and right” are an antiquity, “a reductionism” that is not enough to interpret the complex reality of the Argentine problems. “It is useless to think of left or right, or a hard or soft hand: common sense and applying the law,” says Burlando.

The brand new visible face of the MIF affirms that it is a space that goes “outside the crack” and that it has nothing to do with the ruling party and the opposition. But Burlando strongly questioned President Alberto Fernández for his initial decision not to comply with the recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Justicewhich favored the City of Buenos Aires in the dispute over co-participation funds.

In republican states, the fundamental basis for the functioning of the republic and democracy is the legal security. There is nothing if there is not that ”, shoots Burlando, critical. Although the president reversed his decision and affirmed that he will abide by the decision of justice, Burlando is blunt: “It is inadmissible that the president does not abide by the Court’s ruling.”

In relation to the lawyer’s perspective on the problems of the province, he affirmed that “Buenos Aires has all the problems” and that it is “a black hole”. “I think that what is going to save us is education. We must revitalize and revalue education in the province. Education is not only having knowledge, it is also understanding values, ethics. The lack of education generates all kinds of disasters,” explained Burlando, who presents himself as a great defender of public education.

Among the reasons that led to the lawyer’s decision to get into politics, he says that the Sarah’s birthhis daughter from the couple with the driver Barbie Franco (Burlando has two daughters from a previous relationship, María and Delfina), was what motivated him to think about his legacy and the future of the new generations. “What am I leaving him?” Asked the lawyer, who assures that he is very much accompanied by Franco in his decision to get into politics.

Outwitting, controversial lawyer capable of defending Juan Darthes of the accusation of rape Thelma Fardinand at the same time several women who have suffered gender violence, even participated in the reality show “Dancing for a Dream” with the same naturalness with which he announces his arrival in the political arena today.
