The Man Utd was defeated this weekend with a bulky 4-1 against Manchester City. After a disastrous match for the Red Devils, Sir Alex Ferguson was leaving the stadium when he was rebuked by local fans.

After a dismal second half, dominated by a much superior Pep Guardiola team, the defeat would leave many critics in the visiting environment.

But also teasing in the local environment. When the United legend was leaving the Etihad Stadium, a fan repeatedly shouted various words in his face. “Never in my life!” or “City, City, City”, referring to Ferguson’s words about the citizens in 2009.

And it is that the former coach was asked at a press conference 13 years ago if his team ever I would come out as a loser in a derby against Manchester City. His response was marked by several fans: “What time is it? I think it’s time for me to go. Never in my life will I see a derby with United as losers“.

In fact, already in the stands they saw reprimands to Ferguson. At the beginning of the match, a banner was unfurled that read: “not in my life“.

After leaving in 2013, the Red Devils have failed to win the premier league. Quite the contrary for their rivals in the city, who have lifted the title in four occasions since then, with the fifth well on track.
