Fenneke L. released, but still a suspect in viaduct drama that killed her mother Jackie | Inland

The Public Prosecution Service has released Fenneke L. (36). The investigation into her involvement in the death of her mother Jackie (62) has not yet been completed, but there are insufficient reasons to detain her. That means there is currently no suspicion of murder or manslaughter. She remains a suspect.

In three tweets, the Public Prosecution Service announced on Wednesday afternoon that Fenneke L. was sent away. In fact, that doesn’t change her situation much. The woman who has lived in Haaksbergen for a long time and who had Vlissingen as the last permanent place of residence, is in hospital MST in Enschede with a fracture due to her fall and a stab wound in her neck.

Research not yet completed

Fenneke and Jackie were found on the N18 highway right behind a viaduct near Haaksbergen in the night from Sunday to Monday. Jackie was dead and Fenneke seriously injured. Mother and daughter both have broken bones from the fall from the overpass and stab wounds. Police would not say if a stab object was found.

The Public Prosecution Service reports that the police has conducted an extensive investigation ‘on the basis of indications that a crime could have been committed’. That investigation has not yet been completed, but at the moment the Public Prosecution Service sees insufficient reasons to detain L. longer.

Daughter remains suspect

She will remain a suspect as long as the investigation is ongoing. It is unknown when the investigation will be completed. The Public Prosecution Service declined to provide any further explanation.

Fenneke L. and her mother Jackie were deeply in debt. They had not had a permanent place of residence or residence for months.
