Fenerbahce Beko beat Darüşşafaka 94-69 and took the lead 1-0 in the series.
The Yellow-Navy Blues finished the first period ahead 24-21, in which both teams played with a high percentage in the three-point shooting.
In the first half, Darüşşafaka produced 27 points with Boothe and Caupain duo, sharing the ball well and scoring contribution from 9 players, and Fenerbahce Beko was superior 47-40 at halftime.
Even though the guest team brought the score to 52-50 in the 25th minute with Caupain’s three-pointer, the yellow-dark blue team, who had double digits with Melih Mahmutoğlu’s consecutive baskets, finished the third quarter ahead by 72-56.
Fenerbahce Beko, which increased its score in the last period, won the match 94-69 by 25 points.
Melih Mahmutoğlu scored 14 points and Vesely, Henry and Ahmet Düverioğlu 10 points each for Fenerbahçe Beko. Boothe scored 19 points and Caupain scored 16 points for the visitors.
The second match of the series, where the side with three wins will reach the final, will be played on Thursday, May 26, again hosted by Fenerbahçe Beko.
On the other hand, the yellow-dark blue team jerseys were presented to Fenerbahçe athletes Ayşe Çağrıır, Buse Naz Çakıroğlu, Sema Çalışkan and Şennur Demir, who won medals in the Women’s World Boxing Championship, by the members of the board of directors before the match.
