Anadolu Efes defeated Fenerbahçe Beko 92-90 on the road in the second match of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League play-off semi-finals series.
With this result, the dark blue-white team brought the situation to 1-1 in the series. The third match of the series will be played on Wednesday, June 7, at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, hosted by Anadolu Efes.
Fenerbahce Beko, who started the match effectively, finished the first period ahead 25-16 with the points scored by Motley, Wilbekin and Hayes-Davis.
In the second quarter, both teams produced baskets against each other. Fenerbahçe Beko scored 13 points in the 16th minute with Tarık Biberovic’s 3-point field goal: 39-26. Anadolu Efes, scoring with Larkin and Clyburn, reduced the lead to 3 points with 29 seconds left: 43-40. Fenerbahce went 45-40 superior to the locker room.
Starting the third quarter with more enthusiasm, Anadolu Efes took the lead for the first time in the 25th minute with Clyburn’s basket: 51-53. Continuing its effective performance in the remaining section and producing critical numbers with Bryant, the dark blue-white team entered the last section ahead 65-61.
Anadolu Efes, which did not slow down in the fourth quarter, increased the lead to 13 points in the 34th minute with Bryant’s scoring game: 64-77. Fenerbahçe Beko reduced the lead to 4 points in the 38th minute with Motley’s baskets from under the basket: 76-80. After scoring critical baskets one after the other with Clyburn, the yellow-dark blue team retaliated with Tarık Biberovic’s 3-pointer and drew the lead to 1 with 15 seconds left: 88-89. Hayes-Davis, who made good use of Larkin’s critical mistake while putting the ball into the game from the side, put Fenerbahçe ahead with 5 seconds left: 90-89. Anadolu Efes scored the critical basket from behind the 3-point line in the last second with Clyburn and was victorious 92-90.
