Last week, more than half of the Haarlem voters chose one of the 142 female candidates on the electoral list for the municipal elections. And that while there were almost a hundred more men on the lists of the political parties. This is apparent from a count of NH Nieuws/Haarlem105. It seems that more women are also getting seats in the new city council. The big question now is whether the college of mayor and aldermen will also get a reflection of this result.
