At last Friday’s municipal council meeting in Sint-Truiden, municipal councilor Raymonde Spiritus (CD&V) nonchalantly raised her middle finger to her fellow party member Veerle Heeren. Not common for a city council, but the Truiense puts it into perspective: “That was not specifically aimed at Veerle, you know.”
