117 game officials from 41 nations

Felix Zwayer is the only German referee to run games at the club World Cup in the USA in the USA. As the FIFA World Football Association announced, the 43-year-old Berliner is one of the 35 referees nominated for the premiere tournament. Robert Kempter (Sauldorf) and Christian Dietz (Kronach) and video assistant Bastian Dankert (Brüsewitz) will be there as referee assistants.
The FIFA named a total of 117 game officials from 41 nations. “As with every new competition, the referees have the privilege of being part of the premiere. I am convinced that everyone is enthusiastic,” said FIFA referee boss Pierluigi Collina.
In addition, FIFA announced that the referees are experimentally equipped with body cameras in the games. The pictures should then be shown to the television viewers. “This is a good opportunity to offer the viewers a new experience, that is, pictures from completely new perspectives and perspectives,” said Collina.
The club World Cup with 32 teams for the first time will take place in eleven cities in the United States from June 14 to July 13. The German record champions FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are there from the Bundesliga.
