“Player of the game” gets dead pig

Erlings Haaland’s home club Bryne FK is proud of his special roots in local agriculture. That led to a special prize.

In a game by Bryne FK, the “player of the game” was again surprised with a special prize. After a few packs of eggs were presented two weeks ago (read more about this here), there was a dead pig on Sunday afternoon.

In the first round of the Norwegian club cup, the home club of Superstar Erling won Haaland at Varhaug IL 4-0. It was the first victory for the first division promoted this season. Previously there were two defeats against Bodö/Glimt and Kristiansund in the “elites series”, as the first Norwegian league is called.

In Bryne, Manchester City’s top striker Haaland learned football between 2006 and 2015. The club is closely linked to local agriculture.

Meat and milk production shape the region, and the association also lives this roots in everyday football.
