What’s going on there? The punk rock band Feine Sahne Fischfilet has published a mysterious Instagram statement in which they speak of a website that will soon publish allegations against the band. The band continues in the statement: “We don’t know what it’s about, but we will take these allegations seriously and deal with them. We have never tried to cover any allegations in the past.”
And further:
“We are aware that a band that only consists of guys can lead to problems. It was precisely because of this awareness that we understood that we wanted to start with ourselves first and we are right in the middle of the process here.”
In response to the upcoming allegations, Feine Sahne Fischfilet has set up an e-mail address that people who feel the need to investigate further allegations against the band can contact. The band itself should not have access to the account, instead it is managed by misc, an “agency for cultural change”. with this agency the label Audiolith already worked together in the wake of #MeToo allegations in 2021. In addition, Feine Sahne Fischfilet also refer to external advice centers.
The Instagram page where the allegations are to be published, means “No one has to be a perpetrator”. This account has probably organized feminist meetings up to now, but is now said to have changed its name. Almost all older postings have been deleted. On May 3, the operators explained that they actually wanted to delete their account completely. But then they were approached by a “group” that “wants to pursue an incredibly strong goal and needs to reach it quickly”. It went on to say: “It will be about someone you really all know, many who have heard the rumors and many who have not dared to take action against him and his influence.”
Feine Sahne Fischfilet recently announced that two old band members had left and that a new guitarist and singer had replaced them named Hauke is there. The band is also currently working on new music. The current album by Feine Sahne Fischfilet STURM & DRECK was released almost four years ago. Many live shows followed.
