The leader of the PP also suggests giving a check of “at least” 200 euros to each student from Primary to High School to meet the expenses of the beginning of the school year “

The president of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has proposed free nurseries, such as in Galicia, which are free both in the public sphere, as concerted or private to help families in going back to school.

He has also suggested giving a check of “at least” 200 euros to each student from Primary to High School to meet the costs of the start of the school year in the acquisition of books, material or transport and thus facilitate the start of the 2022-23 academic year, which he has described as “the most expensive in the history of Spain in democracy”.

This aid would be covered by part of the €16.5 billion more than the Government of Spain has collected in the first semester due to the increase in inflation, he has detailed.

The measures that Feijóo has proposed also happen because the Government double the fund for the acquisition of textbooks, going from 48 to 100 million euros, after a “unilateral decision” of the Executive that President Pedro Sánchez will apply the LOMLOE that entails changes to the curriculum that are beginning to be implemented in odd courses, like this year.

A territorial cooperation fund in collaboration with the autonomous communities for the transportation, dining room and school supplies It is another of the initiatives that the president of the PP has pointed out.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo has announced these proposals at the closing of the act “The problems of families at the beginning of the school year”, which has taken place in the Plaza de los Sitios in Zaragoza.
