Tennis star Roger Federer has ruled out a possible comeback after his announced retirement. “I’m definitely done,” said the 41-year-old Swiss in an interview with the US TV show “Today”, “I know that.”
Unlike other sports stars like football icon Tom Brady, he will not return and will not keep a back door open like tennis queen Serena Williams, Federer confirmed.
Federer wants to say goodbye on the pitch at the Laver Cup in London from September 23-25. The 20-time Grand Slam tournament winner has not played an official match since his quarter-final exit at Wimbledon in July 2021. Due to his knee problems, he had announced his retirement from competitive sports the previous week.
