Big commotion in Volendam after FC Volendam chairman Jan Smit publicly announced yesterday that he and the rest of the board will be dismissed on Thursday. That is what the club’s Supervisory Board wants. On the street in Volendam today we mainly hear support for Smit, from Philip de Jonge and Jan Kes, for example: “I find it ridiculous that he is being presented with the bill! That’s not how you treat people.”
