Koen Blommestijn will play football for Gioiese 1918 for the next six months. The 24-year-old footballer from Amstelveen is loaned by FC Volendam to the club from the Italian Serie D.
The attacker’s contract in Volendam runs until the summer of 2025. This season, Blommestijn played less than a minute for the number 17 of the Eredivisie, partly due to an injury. FC Volendam also signed a new striker this transfer period. Vivaldo Semedo was hired from Udinese.
Last season, Blommestijn was also rented out by FC Volendam. He played 13 matches at fellow provincial Telstar and scored twice.
