FC Volendam completed its first training session last Tuesday, without an injured Wim Jonk, after a rest period of more than two weeks. The club will also practice against Ajax in the coming weeks and a training camp has been organized in Marbella in Spain.
The selection of FC Volendam trained without Wim Jonk this week. The trainer of the number 18 in the Eredivisie is struggling with knee problems and is abroad for treatment. It is the intention that Jonk will be back in front of the group from Monday. Next Wednesday, FC Volendam will play an exhibition match against Ajax. The kick-off at De Toekomst sports park is at 12:00 p.m. The game is played behind closed doors and is therefore not accessible to the public or media.

Training camp
In addition to the practice match against Ajax, FC Volendam is still busy looking for several sparring partners for the coming weeks. In addition, the club has confirmed that the selection will go on a training camp to Marbella from Monday December 12 to Tuesday December 20. For a long time, the planned training camp was still uncertain due to the limited financial resources. In Spain, FC Volendam will also practice against one or more clubs.
FC Volendam will resume the competition in Friesland on Sunday 8 January with a game against SC Cambuur.
