FC Volendam has managed to make the exhibition match against NAC Breda accessible to the public. The club can now guarantee safety around the stadium, which means fans of The New Orange to sit in the stands for free.
In preparation for the second half of the season, FC Volendam and NAC will practice against each other on Friday 30 December. Initially, the game was to be played behind closed doors for safety reasons. The club has managed to get the organization so far that fans of the home club can watch the match in the stadium.

In preparation for the current football season, FC Volendam and NAC Breda also practiced against each other in Breda. The match then ended in a goalless draw. The match against NAC is the last football activity of the year for Volendam. In addition, this exhibition game serves as the conclusion of the preparation for the second half of the season.
At the beginning of December, the red lantern carrier in the premier league started training again. It had to do without trainer Wim Jonk in the first week. The trainer was struggling with knee problems and was therefore abroad. After Jonk’s return, they practiced against Ajax. In a spectacular match, the team from Amsterdam lost 5-4.
No chance
A few days later, the Volendam selection flew to Spain for the training camp in Estepona. On Spanish soil, the Volendam team lost 7-0 to Seville without a chance. The Spanish third division team Real Balompédica Linense was also a size too big with 2-0.
FC Volendam will resume the competition on Sunday 8 January with a match against competitor SC Cambuur.
