Calvin Twigt’s contract with FC Volendam has been extended by two years with an option for a third year. The premier league player announced this tonight.
The 20-year-old midfielder returned to the basic line-up of former coach Wim Jonk in the second half of the season, after being unable to play for three quarters of a year due to a lingering injury.
Twigt’s new contract runs until mid-2026 with an option until the summer of 2027. “I look forward to taking the next steps in my development in the coming period. Volendam is a good environment for me, I feel at home here Twigt said on the club’s website.
Today Twigt trained separately from the group during the first field training because he is not completely fit at the moment.
