Henk Veerman will not be playing for his new employer FC Utrecht in the coming months. De Volendammer injured his ankle last weekend against Go Ahead Eagles. The Eredivisie club reports today that Veerman’s recovery will take several months.
“In the last half of the first half, I entered into an aerial duel with Go Ahead Eagles keeper Andries Noppert,” Veerman says on the FC Utrecht club site. “I hurt myself when I landed. I immediately felt a severe pain. In recent days, research has shown that I have an ankle injury that will keep me sideways for the next few months.”
The 31-year-old Veerman made the switch last transfer period from sc Heerenveen to FC Utrecht† He has managed to find the net once in five matches for the club from the Domstad.
