Second division soccer team Schalke 04 extended the contract with midfielder Florian Flick (21) early on Tuesday until June 30, 2024.
“Schalke gave me the opportunity to make the step from a regional league to a Bundesliga player. I am very grateful to those responsible for that,” said Flick in a press release from the Royal Blues. The previous contract with Schalke had a term until 2023.
“It is our firm goal to keep talented players like Florian and develop them carefully,” said Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder.
