Moussa Sissoko is leaving Watford after being relegated to the Championship and a year before his contract expires. The 32-year-old midfielder joins FC Nantes and has a working paper with the Ligue 1 club until 2024. Sissoko is the first new signing at his future club.
The 71-time French international only switched to Watford in 2021 after five years at Tottenham Hotspur for 3.5 million euros – the veteran made a total of 38 games with the “Hornets” (two goals, one assist). Sissoko last played for his training club FC Toulouse in France in 2012/13. The Spurs once paid 35 million euros for him.
