Comes from Sion
FC Lugano signs Anto Grgic and equips him with a four-year contract. This was announced by the Ticino club on Tuesday evening. Grgic comes from FC Sion, where he was no longer employed after relegation.
Lugano sporting director Carlos Da Silva said: “We are delighted to have brought a player to Lugano who has a wealth of experience gained in many Super League games. He is still young, but already has a CV of some length. Endowed with an excellent vision of the game, physically strong and very skillful on dead balls, Anto Grgic has important footballing qualities that represent a reinforcement for Mattia Croci-Torti’s team.”
The previous captain Sions switched to VfB Stuttgart in 2016 for a fee of 2 million euros, but he was not able to assert himself there in the long term. In January 2018 he initially went on loan to Sion, which signed him a year and a half later for 890,000 euros.
