Ilves and FC Lahti sought points in the only match in the Veikkausliiga.

There was one match in Friday’s round of the Veikkausliiga, where FC Lahti and Ilves of Tampere met. Both teams have been underwhelming, as both have won only once in July.
Ilves took the lead in the match after just over ten minutes Kai Meriluoton with the placement of the right foot in the front corner. The goal was Meriluoto’s seventh of the season.
Lahti’s Kosovar players get together in frustration barely ten minutes before the end of the first half.
Altin Zeqiri makes a shot for himself from 15 meters by misleading the Ilves player to the lever. However, the ball bounces over the sideline.
Standing in the middle Arlind Sejdiu would have clearly wanted a pass from his compatriot and thus he gives immediate feedback to his teammate. The Kosovar people say that Teemu Penninkangas has to come in between to calm the duo down.
The second half is more of Lahti’s control and the hosts get a reward for the aftermath of a corner kick after 78 minutes of play. Arttu Heinonen lifts the ball into the box and Penninkangas, who was the mediator, heads the ball handsomely through the top bar into the goal.
No more goals will be seen in Lahti, even though the black shirts are rolling over the Ilves goal until the last minutes of the game. The draw raises Ilves to sixth in the standings. FC Lahti continues in second last place.
