FC Ingolstadt signs central defender youngster Donald Nduka

Debuted in March for professionals

FC Ingolstadt has tied young center back Donald Nduka to the club. The 20-year-old extended his long-term contract with the “Schanzer” on Thursday. The FCI did not say how long the Munich native signed for. Nduka made his debut in the third division in March and has since appeared 18 times for the professionals.

“We all here at the Schanzer value Donald Nduka very much and are therefore pleased that he will continue to rely on us in our professional team in terms of the next steps, further training, further development and the achievement of goals. Donald is a great and intelligent boy who, in addition to his outstanding basic qualities such as speed and size, has an exceptional calmness, which proves to be extremely positive, especially in stressful moments on the pitch. The Schanzer and Donald – it just fits together,” explained managing director Dietmar Beiersdorfer.

Nduka added: “I am very happy that my journey at FC Ingolstadt 04 is continuing well beyond the current season. I’ve been able to call myself a ‘Schanzer’ since the U15 and I feel incredibly comfortable here, not least because of the family environment. This was also reflected in the discussions I had with the sports management. That’s why I would like to thank you again for the trust you have placed in me.”
