Espoo’s FC Honka returned to the medal base after two years off, when it secured bronze with a goalless draw against SJK.
The Veikkausliiga will still be played next Sunday, but FC Haka from Valkeakoski, four points behind, can no longer reach the yellow and black stripes. HJK, who sealed the championship last weekend, and KuPS, the silver team, have also secured their places in the standings.
The people of Espoo will get bronze medals this season, but also the always interesting opportunity to head to the Eurocourts in the Conference League.
– Of course, it is a big achievement for us to get bronze. Sometimes we had time to dream of a brighter medal, but I am very satisfied with the season. We have scored the most goals and clearly have the best goal difference. It’s a pity that we couldn’t challenge HJK and KuPS until the very end, but you can be really satisfied with everything, Honga’s head coach Vesa Vasara comment on Veikkausliiga’s website.
Honga’s goal difference before the final round is 52:26. It has scored ten hits more than KuPS, which scored the second most. Forward of Espoo, 19 years old Agon Sadiku has stretched the opponent’s cage 14 times, but the victory of the goal exchange is going to FC Haka who scored 17 goals Lee to Erwin.
