The remaining minutes of FC Groningen against Ajax will be made up next Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. The KNVB decided this evening in consultation with the local authorities. The game was definitively stopped this afternoon after two fireworks were thrown on the field. There is no audience for the resumption.
The first strike came after six minutes. Dusan Tadic (former player of FC Groningen) wanted to take a corner, after which smoke bombs were thrown on the field. Then a ‘fan’ also stormed a field.

The players went in for just over ten minutes. Shortly after the restart, fireworks were thrown on the field again. Referee Jeroen Manschot decided – in line with the new rules of the KNVB – to strike definitively. There are still 81 minutes on the clock in Groningen and no public is allowed on Tuesday.
