According to the club, the family is suddenly in financial uncertainty, including funeral costs. There are also concerns about the long-term future of the children. Lenard was self-employed in construction and the breadwinner of the family. His wife Kelly works part-time and takes care of the children. They were also active within the club and were there for everyone.

To give something back to the family, a crowdfunding campaign has been started to provide financial support to Kelly and the children. “After years of giving, this family deserves to receive after this enormous tragedy,” it reads. They hope that the family can cope with the loss without ‘financial worries’.

Nearly five thousand euros have already been raised. Via this link it is possible to donate.
