FC Emmen extends trial period of three players and says goodbye to goalkeeper

FC Emmen says goodbye to Ludek Vejmola. The Czech goalkeeper has been on trial at the club from Drenthe in recent weeks, but was not found suitable for a place under the bar.

FC Emmen wanted to find out whether Vejmola could become the new first goalkeeper. A vacancy that has been vacant since Michael Brouwer left for Heracles Almelo. Last season, De Apeldoorner grew into an important force in the team that eventually managed to promote to the Eredivisie. He is under contract there for another year and Heracles would rather not lose him.

Trainer Dick Lukkien is not completely dissatisfied with Vejmola’s performance, but according to him the goalkeeper is currently short. “It ends here for now. He has certainly grown since he came to us, but in our way of playing, playing along is of great importance. He doesn’t manage that enough at the moment. He himself recognizes that.”

Opposite the departure of the Czech goalkeeper is a longer stay of Lorenzo Ebicilio, Mark Pabai and Edwin Gyasi. The FC Emmen technical staff recognize their potential, but want to see them at work a little longer before a final decision is made about their future. The trial period of the three will be extended until a date yet to be determined.
