FC Eindhoven has won the provisional last game of 2022. In their own Jan Louwers Stadium, the number four of the Kitchen Champion Division won 3-0 against the low-ranked Telstar on Friday evening. The home team failed to close the game earlier.
Brian De Keersmaecker opened the score in the 11th minute with a hard shot, on which Telstar keeper Ronald Koeman jr (indeed the son of) seemed to be mistaken. After that, especially Lamine Diaby-Fadiga attracted attention. The French attacker of FC Eindhoven missed a few opportunities and was lucky that he went free after poking an opponent. Only at the end of the first half did Telstar assert itself somewhat, but the White Lions failed to create any real goal-rich opportunities.
Decisive Actions Evan Rottier
After the break, FC Eindhoven remained the better, but as long as you do not score yourself, there is a chance that you will still have to hand in points. The formation of trainer Rob Penders was spared that. In the 88th minute, after terrible defensive work by Telstar, she took a 2-0 lead. The goal was scored by Jasper Dahlhaus, but Evan Rottier had the largest share in the goal. The same Rottier determined the final score at 3-0 in extra time in a phenomenal way.
The duel in Eindhoven was led by Jannick van der Laan. The referee from Cuijk was short of eyes and ears in the first half, there were some disturbances. Van der Laan solved it by only handing out a (yellow) card to TomOvertoom from Telstar.
FC Eindhoven resumes the competition on December 11 with an away match against De Graafschap.
Helmond Sport has now started the home game against the same De Graafschap.
