FC Den Bosch failed to catch up with the Limburg team in the home game against VVV. Both teams failed to score. Helmond Sport, last in the Kitchen Champion Division, lost with large numbers to Excelsior: 3-0.
FC Den Bosch – VVV Venlo 0-0
The match got off to a slow start. Hardly anything happened in the first twenty. In the second part, VVV goalkeeper Van Crooij prevented the Bosschenaren from taking the lead twice. Deals by Ryan Leijten and Soufyan Ahannach did not get past the Limburg goalkeeper.
Only in the final phase did FC Den Bosch put more pressure on the team from Venlo, but no goals were scored. Goalkeeper Wouter van der Steen prevented VVV from going home with the full win with a good save on a shot by Nick Venema.
Excelsior – Helmond Sport 3-0
Excelsior was the dominant party in both the first and the second half. The team from Rotterdam took the lead within ten minutes after a goal by Mats Wieffer. Even after the break, the Helmonders were not really able to make a fist against the number three of the Kitchen Champion Division. Three minutes after the break, top scorer Thijs Dallinga made it 2-0. Excelsior remained the better team. In stoppage time, Redouan El Yaakoubi scored from a distance, 3-0.
