Belgium return
Roman Yaremchuk (26) is a new record purchase at Club Brugge. The Belgian champions, who equip the attacker with a contract until 2026, pay Benfica Lisbon €16m. Yaremchuk replaces Raphael Onyedika (21) at the top just a few days after his 10 million move to Bruges. The transfer expenses of the Champions League participants thus increase to 48.4 million euros.
For Yaremchuk, Brugge is the fifth professional stop of his career, having previously played in Belgium at KAA Gent between 2017 and 2021. The striker left Gent last year for €17m for Benfica, where he has nine goals and seven assists in 48 games. His contract in Portugal was originally dated until 2026.
Most recently, the TM rumor mill also linked VfB Stuttgart to Yaremchuk, who could have replaced Sasa Kalajdzic (25), who was about to leave Wolverhampton. Reporters reported on Twitter Sacha Tavolierei from “RMC Sport” about the fact that the Swabians had him in their sights.
