FC Bayern is looking for reinforcements for the back team on the transfer market. The German record champions apparently received a rejection as a result.
According to Sky, FC Bayern has asked AC Milan about Fikayo Tomori. The Rossoneri probably don’t want to let the central defender move to Munich. Milan therefore gave the Bundesliga team a basket, according to the TV station.
Tomori still has a contract with the traditional Italian club until 2027. Those responsible at FC Bayern are probably impressed by the 26-year-old’s performance.
According to Sky, Munich’s sports director Christoph Freund is “a great friend” of Tomori, who is currently having to slow down due to a hamstring injury. The central defender has played five international matches for the English national team during his career. Tomori moved from Chelsea to AC Milan in January 2021.
FC Bayern dreams of Ronald Araujo
FC Bayern is currently looking for a new defender. Ronald Araujo from FC Barcelona is still said to be the preferred candidate. According to Sky, the German series champion would be willing to put around 60 million euros on the table for the 24-year-old in January.
According to media reports, Araujo’s release clause at Barca is said to be in the high double-digit million range. “Sport Bild” wrote about 80 million euros in mid-December.
According to “Sky”, Araujo will not be extending his working paper with the Spanish champions, which is dated until 2026 – a chance for FC Bayern?
The Munich team is said to have another candidate in mind: Trevoh Chalobah. The Chelsea FC central defender could soon be fit again after his persistent thigh injury. The 24-year-old was already a topic on Säbener Straße last summer.
