FC Bayern wins wild top game

The defending champions of FC Bayern Munich have won the top game in the Bundesliga and, at least for the time being, have snatched the lead from VfL Wolfsburg.

Jens Scheuer’s team defeated third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2 (1-2) and is initially two points ahead of the Wolves, who can overtake TSG Hoffenheim (2 p.m. / MagentaSport) on Saturday.

Maximiliane Rall (5th) gave FC Bayern the lead, but Laura Freigang (28th) and Nicole Anyomi (42nd) turned the game around before the break.

National player Lea Schüller (51st) equalized shortly after the break, before Viviane Asseyi (79th) shot the favored Munich team on course for victory. Jovana Damnjanovic (90+4) made everything clear.
