Was the most efficient Bundesliga goalscorer
The list of interested parties for FC Bayern’s Mathys Tel is apparently getting longer. As the “Kicker” reports, several Bundesliga clubs, including Werder Bremen, are dealing with the 18-year-old center forward. The Frenchman had previously been associated with FC Augsburg.
According to reports, the Munich team at Tel are considering a loan within Germany so that the youngster can gain more experience. Since moving from Stade Rennes to the German record champions at a cost of 20 million euros last summer, he has played 28 games in which he was only twice in the starting XI. His hit tally was six, five of them in the Bundesliga, making him the most efficient Bundesliga professional in front of the opposing goal. In a league-wide comparison of all players who scored at least five goals, Tel only needed an average of 79 minutes per goal.
For Werder, a Tel loan would be another transfer coup this summer after the Green-Whites signed Naby Keïta from Liverpool on a free transfer. With a market value of 20 million euros, Tel would be the most valuable player in Ole Werner’s team. In the last ten years, four footballers have made the journey from Munich to Bremen – most recently Marco Friedl (overview).

Mathys Tel continues to see consultants at Bayern Munich
At the beginning of May, Tel’s consulting agency made it clear in a statement (via “Sport1”) that the offensive man wants to assert himself on Säbener Straße with a contract until 2025. “Mathys will stay in Munich, no matter what happens.” If a caliber like Harry Kane arrives in Munich, Tel’s advisors could probably rethink.
