FC Bayern dispatched VfL Bochum 7-0 in the Bundesliga. Leroy Sane repeatedly presented himself in impressive form on Saturday afternoon. Head coach Thomas Tuchel praised the national player’s special qualities after the final whistle.
Leroy Sane is currently in the form of his life at FC Bayern. In the clear 7-0 win against VfL Bochum, the 27-year-old scored to make it 4-0 (38th) and was also involved in numerous other offensive actions by his team.
“The praise is deserved,” coach Thomas Tuchel told “Sky” after the final whistle about Sane’s recent performances.
“He has special qualities”
“He has special qualities and can be decisive for us – we expect that too. The more you have physically and in terms of talent, the more is expected of you. He delivers, that’s good,” said the 50-year-old his protégé.
Sane moved from Manchester City to FC Bayern in 2020. Since then, the Essen native has experienced ups and downs in Munich. In recent years, the DFB star has often not presented himself consistently enough. FC Bayern hopes that this is now a thing of the past.
FC Bayern: Sane is an integral part of the starting eleven
Sane has been an integral part of Munich’s starting lineup so far this season. The ex-Schalke player justifies Tuchel’s trust with goal contributions.
After the resounding win against VfL Bochum, FC Bayern will continue next Tuesday (8:45 p.m.) in the first round of the DFB Cup against third division team Preußen Münster. Four days later, the German series champions visit RB Leipzig for the top Bundesliga game. Tuchel should also rely on Sane. With his performances so far, the national player has left his coach no other choice.
